Hi all. Mary Eby and I are going to check out a few promising places for our reunion this Monday. Please pray we are very productive in this one day, since I took a day off work and she is only home this week before she heads out to Alaska for her next nursing adventure. We want it to be special for you all and are trying to find the “perfect” place. Once we have the location, that will determine our date and we will let you know right away so those of you who need to make travel arrangements can do that.
Many of you have said you would be willing to help. That is awesome! Right now, to help you can keep passing this website along. We currently have 54 people, 44 of which we had in the first two weeks! Things have tapered off a bit, so if you live down the road from someone and think they haven’t been told (or need a reminder) please encourage them to register their info. This does not commit you to coming to the reunion – it just helps me keep track of where you are!
Once we have our facility nailed down, I may be recruiting some of you for different committees. Thank you for your willingness to help out.
Finally, I just heard this past week that another one of our classmates has passed away. I would like to send my sympathies to the Doiron family and those of you who were his close friends. As a class, I would like to start some sort of memorial fund. If anyone has any ideas on this, I would also be willing to work on that with you.
Until next time…

Jess,
Would it be possible to post the names of the people who have not registered? So that, if we see a name that we are still in contact with, we can get them the info.

Possibly… I will work on that this week.

Were you and Mary able to find anything? Thanks for taking the day off work to try to figure out where all of us 1997ers will be mingling with one another. Much appreciated!

As far as Adam Doiron, his family would like any donations to go for mission trips. I do not have his obituary in front of me, but it list the name of the organization. I think that woud be a great idea to set up a memorial fund. His family is taking this very hard, as to be expected. Any kindness that we could give would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Jess! I would be willing to help in any way I can. I am a stay at home mom so I tend to have a lot of free time on my hands. Let me know if there is anything you need me to do. Can’t wait to see everyone.

Hey guys. Thanks for checking in. We did get to go to quite a few places on Monday and saw some pretty good options. I think we are trying to decide between two places in particular. There are pros and cons about both of these places, so if you don’t mind, I might be calling a couple of you tonight or Thursday night to get some more input. I have talked to a few people and I know Mary was going to try to talk to a few people to get some more opinions.
I do have something that some of you might be interested in helping with. I got a list of people that were in our senior class and phone numbers of their parents at the time of our senior year. One way we might find people is if their parents are still around we can just call them up and get some of the info. Then, you could contact those people and have them put in their info or put the info in the website yourself. Let me know if you might want to be involved and I can scan the pages into my computer and forward them on to you. Thanks for your willingness to help.

That is indeed very sad news about Adam.
I’m not sure how the logistics of this would work, but maybe we should try to collect together photos and information about each of our classmates that have passed away. We could have a table set up with the photos and such at the reunion.
Shifting gears, is the plan to have the reunion be a formal, semi-formal, or casual affair? Put another way, do I need to dust off my green silk shirt, white jeans, and brown leather shoes? I think I’ve got a braided leather belt around here somewhere…

I like your picture I idea. With scanners and email, I thought it might be easy to put together some pictures and maybe a video for everyone.
The dress kinda depends on where we have it, but the green silk shirt will be accepted for all occasions! Especially with the stylin’ belt! Ha!
